About House Of Assets

Thank you for stopping by House Of Assets!

Our purpose for being is to bring Canadian-specific finance insights, solutions, and strategies to our readers. This blog/website was developed due to the author having kept notes for years (now in his mid-thirties) for his own financial learnings and retention. However at the end of 2022, figured it’d be more impactful for all Canadians and so decided to start House Of Assets so all Canadians could take advantage of his notes, learnings, and experiences.

Disclaimer: All content posted is solely for educational purposes and not intended as advice. Consider everything presented on our channels as educational and entertaining strategies accumulated over time. Prior to any actions, conduct your own due diligence.

Now that we’ve gotten the disclaimer out of the way, who is the author? Well for privacy reasons we’ll keep that information confidential for the time being but we’ll share his financial progress as he’s willing to share them. For now, we’ll say, that he moved to Canada in his pre-teen years and grew up in a low-middle-income household. At the time of graduating from university, he had $70,000 in debt (post-secondary school debt, a bit due to poor decisions while in school, and bought a used car to get to and from work). Due to the heavy debt in his early 20’s he worked a full-time job, a part-time job, and hustled with a side gig to pay the debt off as quickly as possible, and even saved enough for a small downpayment (way below 20%) and got into his first property. Today he’s in his mid-thirties, making $100,000+, pays his taxes on time, owns investments, owns rental properties, and continues to make financial mistakes (risk-reward), but keeps learning and applying those strategies to keep compounding his net worth.

Once again Welcome to House Of Assets and we’ll do our best to entertain you with asset-building ideas to explore. Please check back monthly for new content.

P.S. If you see anything that needs to be validated like data points and/or even something as simple as a grammar or spelling fix feel free to reach out to us. We want HOA to be up to date and communicate great content for everyone’s financial success and learning! One more thing, none of the services or products suggested on our website is currently sponsored, if we suggest a product it’s because we’ve used it and felt others could benefit like we did, if and when that time comes we’ll be sure to make it very evident it’s a paid AD.
